C.J. and I have started getting ready to move into our new apartment in June. I am so excited! This means that I will be able to make toast, take baths, burn candles, sit on a couch, and....decorate! Since the move-in-date is getting closer and closer, we have been buying random items "together" for our new home "together". So cheesy, so mushy...I know, I know. Oh well. Deal with it. This page of the blog is going to keep everyone up-to-date on the progress of the new place....from now to when C.J. moves in in June, and from when I move in in August to when the apartment is completely spectacular (and finished). So...stay tuned!

We decided that coffee table books add a little extra something to a room. We only bought one of these books, used at Hastings (what a steal!), and then the other two were free from a seminar we both attended. Yay for books!

We decided that we should buy something for our new kitchen so we purchased some coffee cups for $2 (yes, total) at Ross. C.J. is thinking he is going to use them for coffee, but I am thinking that they are gong to look great together in the kitchen with some pretty flowers in them.

We decided--wait, this one was all me. I wanted something that was just decorative and that we could put on our mantle to something...so I found this at Walmart. When I found it, it was plain black and so I brought it home and jazzed it up with some ribbon, buttons, and some odds and ends. I LOVE it. :)

We had visited my aunt and uncle in Arkansas and they were getting rid of some safari shadow boxes. So I took them, took the safari out of them and made them into something that we can hang in our new apartment.

We also took some of the vases that my aunt was getting rid of. One was just clear and the other was blue and gold. I love flower arrangement and just vases themselves, so I couldn't pass up an opportunity to make some pretty ones for our place.
